His maiden trip to Victory Lane in 2022 came at Pennsylvania’s Bedford Speedway during the historic oval’s 86th Anniversary Opening Day.
“It feels great to get the first win of the season. We had up-and-down results at Speedweeks to start the year, but since then we’ve been in the Top 10 every night and now we have our first win of the year,” Cosner said. “We always enjoy coming to Bedford, and it’s especially fun to come back and win here. Thank you to everyone who supports this program and keeps us going in circles each week.”
Matt Cosner entered his LINE-X® No. 66c Late Model into battle on Friday evening at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) for the track’s season opener. In a field of 20 Super Late Models, Cosner secured his spot into the A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat.
Tracking down polesitter and race-long leader Jeff Rine late in the race, Matt overtook Rine amid lapped-traffic on lap 21 and led the remaining distance of the 25-lapper to capture his first win of the season and 12th career triumph at the Pennsylvania oval.
He finished ahead of Rine, Drake Troutman, Andy Haus, and Travis Stickley.
Saturday's Zimmer's United Late Model Series (ULMS) scheduled event at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pa.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
