February 2, 2021 - Matt Cosner makes final Lucas Oil Florida Speedweeks feature at Bubba Raceway Park
1 Matt Cosner traveled to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.) on Monday to wrap up his Florida Speedweeks trip with a doubleheader at the 3/8-mile oval. Drawing 49 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Matt timed in 18th fastest in his qualifying group before placing eighth in his heat. Needing a second place finish or better to make the opening night feature, Cosner fell short with an eighth-place outing.

January 30, 2021 - Wrisco Winternationals brings Cosner to East Bay Raceway Park
1On Monday afternoon, Matt Cosner followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Fla.) for the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals. In a stout field of 76 cars, Cosner came in eighth in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Locking the Top 2 into the opening night feature, Matt logged an 11th-place finish. Slated to start near the tail of the Berry Barn Strawberry Dash for one final shot at the show, Cosner elected to save equipment and scratch from the eight-lapper.

1The following night, Cosner posted an eighth place finish in his heat before Mother Nature made an appearance and postponed his B-Main to late Thursday evening.

Slated to start near the tail of his B-Main, Matt was a scratch from his consolation event.

For Thursday night’s full program, Cosner finished eighth in his heat race sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the $7,000-to-win A-Main. Needing to place second or better, Matt logged a 10th-place finish.

1On Friday afternoon, Matt followed up the 17th fastest lap in his time trial group with a sixth place finish in his heat. Locking the Top 2 finishers from his B-Main, Cosner came three spots shy of transferring with a fifth-place outing.

Wrapping up the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday, Cosner recorded an eighth place finish in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $15,000-to-win finale with his B-Main. Sending the Top 2 into the show, Matt was an early retiree from the 10-lapper on the sixth lap.

January 23, 2021 - Matt Cosner begins 2021 season at All-Tech Raceway
1After losing Friday night’s program to Mother Nature, Matt Cosner kicked off his 2021 season on Saturday afternoon at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) season opener. Drawing 57 entries for the General Tire Winter Nationals, Matt followed up the 17th fastest lap in his time trial group with an eighth place finish in his heat race. November 24, 2020 - Matt Cosner tallies two win 2020 season
In a year that saw numerous events in the first half the season cancelled by the Covid-19 pandemic, Matt Cosner competed in a total of 45 races behind the wheel of his R.H. Lapp Mechanical Contractors No. 66c Late Model. He amassed two wins, seven Top-5 finishes, and 12 Top-10 outings.

November 5, 2020 - Cosner attends the Last Call at the Dirt Track at Charlotte
1After Covid-19 restrictions postponed the Can-Am World Finals to 2021, Matt Cosner invaded the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) on Wednesday afternoon for the Last Call. In a stout field of 55 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Cosner recorded a fifth place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Locking in the Top 2, Matt came one spot short with a third place outing.

October 24, 2020 - Matt Cosner scores seventh place finish in Keystone Cup at Bedford Speedway
1Friday night saw Matt Cosner return to action at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) to take part in the third annual Keystone Cup. Drawing 35 Late Models for the two-day event, Matt followed up the fifth fastest lap in his time trial group with a third place finish in his preliminary feature. October 10, 2020 - Cosner cruises to first career ULMS victory at Greater Cumberland Raceway
1 Matt Cosner put on a dominating performance Saturday to earn his first-career Zimmer’s United Late Model Series victory.

Cosner’s second trip to the winner’s circle this season came aboard his Nelson Auto Sales No. 66c R.H. Lapp Mechanical Contractors/ Rocket Chassis/ Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model at the Greater Cumberland (Md.) Raceway.

“Nothing is better than a hometown win,” Cosner said. “It’s great to get our first ULMS victory. It got a little dicey there in lapped traffic, but we had a great car and was able to get the job done. We’re going to take this weekend off to get ready for Bedford next week.”

In a field of 21 cars, Cosner secured his spot into the main event with a heat race victory. Earning the pole position, Matt set a comfortable pace out front for the first half of the race until lapped traffic became a factor.

Flawlessly navigating his way through lapped traffic throughout the 30-lapper, Matt cruised to his second win of the season over Trever Feathers, Max Blair, Ryan Montgomery, and Gregg Satterlee. Tallying his first career ULMS win, Cosner earned a $3,000 payday.

October 3, 2020 - Cosner attends Nittany 50 at Clinton County Speedway
1Saturday night saw Matt Cosner return to action at Clinton County Speedway (Mill Hall, Pa.) for the Nittany 50. Drawing 40 cars, Matt laid down the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group before placing third in his heat race. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Cosner was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 42.
