Matt Cosner begins 2022 season at Golden Isles Speedway

Matt Cosner lifted the lid on his 2022 season on Thursday afternoon at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Ga.) as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) opened the season with the Super Bowl of Racing. Drawing 47 Late Models, Cosner recorded a seventh-place finish in his heat, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Needing to place second or better, Matt logged a seventh-place outing.

The following night, Matt’s seventh-place finish in his heat relegated him into the B-Main for another shot at the $12,000-to-win A-Main. Locking in the Top 2, Cosner recorded a sixth-place finish.

For the finale on Saturday, Cosner missed a transfer spot by one position in his heat with a fourth-place finish, leaving him with a B-Main appearance for one final shot at the show. Taking the Top 2, Matt fell short with a fourth-place finish.
